
Position: Investments Research Analyst

Reports to: Manager: Treasury
Purpose of the Position:
Conduct in-depth research, analysing market trends and investment opportunities, and providing strategic insights to support the portfolio management team in making informed decisions across diverse asset classes.
Key Performance Areas:

- Conduct in-depth analysis of companies to assess their financial health and performance

Job-related qualifications and experience:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Commerce/Finance/Economics/Business Science, NQF level 7
- Four (4) years in the banking or portfolio management environment with at least 2 years’ experience in fixed income and/or financial analysis environment.
- CFA, FMVA or ACI dealing certificate will be an added advantage.
The incumbent should have the following knowledge, skills and Attributes:
Knowledge of:
Good understanding of the Namibian, regional and global financial markets, financial statement analysis and modelling, company valuation and valuation of fixed interest securities, general understanding of the GIPF mandate, national development plan which dictates the government borrowing plan, in-depth knowledge of the local, regional, and global macro-economic factors driving asset prices, pension fund legislation and relevant systems for the execution of investments.
